Open Lab @ Hillman is a collaboration between the University Center for Teaching and Learning and the University Library System.

Through workshops, class sessions, consultations and trainings, the Pitt community has access to technology for hands-on making and experiential learning. Drop in to experience virtual reality, learn to 3D print for product prototyping or making education models, try out 2D or 3D scanning, or use a vinyl cutter. Media Production Equipment & Services, located in Hillman Library, provides access to media creation equipment for members of the Pitt community. From cameras and GoPros to lighting, audio recording, and podcasting kits, the variety of tools needed to create film and produce audio is available.
