REPOSITORIES

American Mineralogist Crystal Structure Database
Interface to a database containing all crystal structures published in the American Mineralogist, The Canadian Mineralogist, European Journal of Mineralogy, and Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, plus selected data from other journals.
National Snow and Ice Data Center
Satellite and field observation data relating to the cryosphere from NASA, NSF, NOAA, and others.
NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information - (formerly the National Climatic Data Center)
Weather and climate data, including land-based, marine, model, radar, weather balloon, satellite, and paleoclimatic data.
NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information - (formerly the National Oceanographic Data Center)
Oceanographic and ocean climatology data, including satellite, observational, and model data, both global and regional.
PANGAEA
Collection of georeferenced data for earth and environmental sciences. Mostly open access with Creative Commons licenses, but access to data from in-progress research can be restricted.
