The EAL subscribes to more than 30 academic journals in a variety of subject areas published in South Korea.

PITT-affiliated users also have access to major Korean periodical databases such as KISS and DBpia.

In addtion, the EAL has established partnership with Korean libraries to provide PITT-affiliated users with free document delivery service for academic journal articles. Please refer to the East Asian Gateway Services for details.

82 titles and 2,014 issues of North Korean periodicals have been added to the collection.

In addition, PITT-affiliated users have full access to KPjournal, a full-text database of academic journals for sciences and techonolgy in North Korea.

The East Asian Library provides the Korean Document Delivery Service (KDDS) for Pitt-affiliated patrons only. The KDDS at Pitt focuses on Korean academic publications not held by or available from libraries in the United States.

The East Asian Library at University of Pittsburgh offers library instruction classes for users to achieve information competency and develop basic research skills for East Asian Studies.
