Begin by brainstorming possible book selections:
To find a title or a review of a book in PittCat, go to library.pitt.edu and select "Advanced Search."
In advance search, in the search filters, drop the option from 'Any Field" to "Title."
Then, copy and paste or type the book's title into the first line.
Select "Search."
The format, such as "Book," "Article," or "Review, " will appear at the top of each record. The example below shows the difference between a book title record in Hanley's CRC and an article or book review record.
To locate the educational material item you found in PittCat, select the record. In the record, look beneath the title and author information to the phrase "Available at."
If Bradford Campus Library—Hanley Curriculum Resource Center is listed, look for the Library of Congress Call Number that follows, such as E450 .B873 2020 for Box: Henry Brown Mails Himself to Freedom.
The Curriculum Resource Center is organized by the Library of Congress system, which follows an alphabetical and numerical order. Write down the call number (CRC E450 .B873 2020) and find your way to the CRC E section.
If you cannot locate your title, ask the service desk or a librarian for help!
