LGBTQ Digital Archives in the Classroom @ Pitt

A guide to aid students in using digital archives and to give instructors ideas about how to use these archives in the classroom

Project Overview

This module on “Fragment, Ephemera and Periodicals: Reimagining Global Trans History” specifically focused on the Digital Transgender Archives (DTA) was made for Dr. Julie Beaulieu’s Transgender Studies class funded by a Humanities Engage Grant supported by Andrew Mellon Foundation.

Comprising videos, worksheets, sample lesson plans, activities and readings on the Digital Transgender Archives and Fanfare magazine, we hope that this module will serve as a resource for educators who have been thinking of introducing students to digital archival research.
