Here is a sample of a poster created for a Pittcon presentation.
PowerPoint Instructions
Start with a new document in PowerPoint
Delete the two text boxes that appear when PowerPoint first opens
Before adding any images, change the dimensions of the slide:
On the Design tab, choose Page Setup and set the width and height to match the poster size.
Now you can add text boxes and graphics to create your poster.
After creating your PowerPoint, please save it, and then save it as a PDF
The PDF file is what the library will need for printing
Poster Template PowerPoint 24x36 (Portrait)
Use this template for creating a 24 x 36 poster in PowerPoint.
Poster Template PowerPoint 36x24 (Landscape)
Use this template for creating a 36 x 24 poster in PowerPoint.
Publisher Instructions
Open Publisher and choose a blank template.
Before adding any images, change the dimensions of the page
On the Page Design tab, choose Size, then Page Setup. Set the width and height to match the poster size.
Now you can add text boxes and graphics to create your poster
After creating your Publisher file, please save it, and then save it as a PDF
