The library loans:
During the fall 2012 term the Millstein Library converted its computer lab into a digital media lab to provide students and faculty in any discipline with the necessary tools to work with digital media including video, audio, imaging and web publishing. The lab provides both hardware and software tools for a variety of digital projects. The intent of the digital media lab is to support efforts in curricular innovation incorporating digital, global, interdisciplinary and experiential elements. Our facility allows users to develop their skills in visual literacy enabling "an individual to effectively find, interpret, evaluate, use and create images and visual media," as mandated by the visual literacy standards of the Association of College and Research Libraries.
The Digital Media Lab was conceived and developed with funding from the R.K. Mellon Grant and the Carl F. Poke Endowment Fund. It is located on the first floor of the Millstein Library, room 162, and it is available to users during regular library hours.
