Writing Center

The Writing Center provides a place for all University of Pittsburgh students to come to work on their writing. The Center is staffed by experienced consultants who have been trained to help others with their writing. We can help you with conventional or digital projects. The services are free to all University of Pittsburgh affiliates.

Appointment and Schedule
You need make appointments online for both Writing Center and Hillman Library Satellite Location. You have to register to use online appointment system.
Call 412-624-6556 for appointments
If you have difficulty with the system, you can call 412-624-6556 for an appointment. Appointments are 25 minutes long, starting on the half-hour. You can also drop in during our operating hours. If a consultant is available, you'll be seen right away.
International Café
There are series of workshops that tackle some of the difficulties of writing and using English as a non-native speaker. 3:30 – 4:30 p.m in Fridays. See Schedule on this page.
