Langauge Partners

If you would like to find someone to practice language with, please email Rachel Jacobson at with the following information, written in the third person:

• Your native language and the language you want to practice.

• Your level in school and what you are studying.

• Where you’re from.

• Something about yourself that will help potential language partners get to know you.

• An email address at which you can be contacted.

Requests will be sent out with the ASC Weekly Updates. If you have recently been removed from the announcements and are still looking for a language partner, please email Rachel to be put back on the list.

Writing Center

The Writing Center provides a place for all University of Pittsburgh students, faculty, and staff to come to work on their writing.  The Center is staffed by experienced consultants who have been trained to help others with their writing. The services are free to all University of Pittsburgh affiliates.

Free English Conversation Classes

Carnegie Public Library  has "Let's Speak English!" Classes in two locations.

"If English is not your native tongue, join our group for lively English conversation. You don't need to bring anything, and there is no need to register."
