Background on the Archive of European Integration

image of the AEI logo

The documents listed below under the Documents box reside on the University of Pittsburgh's Archive of European Integration (AEI). AEI is a free to everyone electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration and unification. Its focus is the post-War development, activities, and foreign relations of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), the European Economic Community (EEC), the European Community (EC), and the European Union (EU).

In the Documents section below, both Key Documents and Chronological Documents are selected as representative documents on Latin America. Both Central and South America are included there, and were selected from Latin America - General, Central America and South America.  There is a separate Related Guide for the Caribbean.  Both Annuals and Series Tabs include all such documents on the AEI.

The AEI also contains certain types of independently-produced research materials, listed under Journals and Series and Conferences.
