Background on the Archive of European Integration

The documents listed below under the Documents box reside on the University of :Pittsburgh's Archive of European Integration (AEI). AEI is a free to everyone electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration and unification. Its focus is the post-War development, activities, and foreign relations of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), the European Economic Community (EEC), the European Community (EC), and the European Union (EU).

In the Documents section below, both Key Documents and Chronological Documents are selected as representative documents from Institutional Administration and Development - General.  Both Annuals and Series Tabs include all such documents on the AEI.

The AEI also contains certain types of independently-produced research materials, listed under Journals and Series and Conferences.

Introduction

Information on the major most of the major institutions of the Community -  Council of the European Community/Union, European Commission, European Council and European Parliament - is located in Tab Related Guides.
