Diversity Consciousness @ Pitt

A guide to resources from the Developing Diversity Consciousness training series offered by Pitt's Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

Overview

Developing Diversity Consciousness to Foster Antiracist Practices, Cultures, and Communities is an education series by Pitt's Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI). It takes an intersectional approach to engaging issues of race, focusing on anti-Black racism. The series provides a framework for participants to analyze the complexity and pervasiveness of structural racism, and grants participants opportunities to reflect on what they can do individually and collectively to advance antiracism. Learning is facilitated through seven 2-hour virtual sessions. For more information on the training series, please refer to OEDI's Education page. This guide refers readers to key texts and films which are engaged through the seven sessions.
