This is a guide for finding and using the microforms collection in the University Library System.

Microforms Collection Location

The Oakland Campus ULS Microforms Collection is now located in our storage facility at Thomas Boulevard. If you have questions or need assistance using any microforms, please Ask Us. 

Hillman Microform Reader

ST ViewScan 4

Hillman Library has one ST ViewScan 4 microform viewer/scanner available on the Hillman Library First Floor Forbes Avenue side. There is a separate machine available for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) processes. These machines can be reserved via LibCal. 

Archives Service Center Microform Readers

The Archives Service Center reading room is generally open 9 AM-4:45 PM Monday-Friday. Please see the reading room website for contact information and further details. 

ScanPro 2000

The Archives Service Center has one ScanPro 2000 microform viewer/scanner. The Scan Pro 2000 can make high resolution scans of microfilm, microfiche, and microprint.​ There is also spot editing capability for image adjustment. 

ST ViewScan 4

The Archives Service Center has one ST ViewScan 4 microform viewer/scanner available.
