The documents listed below under the Documents box reside on the University of Pittsburgh's Archive of European Integration (AEI). AEI is a free to everyone electronic repository and archive for research materials on the topic of European integration and unification. Its focus is the post-War development, activities, and foreign relations of the European Coal and Steel Community (ECSC), the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom), the European Economic Community (EEC), the European Community (EC), and the European Union (EU).
In the Documents section below, both Key Documents and Chronological Documents are selected as representative documents from Former Soviet Union. Both Annuals and Series Tabs include all such documents on the AEI.
The AEI also contains certain types of independently-produced research materials, listed under Journals and Series and Conferences.
Many of the countries from the Former Soviet Union (FSU) joined the European Union - you can see information on these countries in Enlargement under the Related Guides there. This guide treats the remainder of the countries of the FSU, including; Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan); Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Ukraine.
Rather than product lists of documents for each of the countries, here are links to where these documents can be found on the Archive of European Integration:
