Writing Center

The Writing Center provides a place for all University of Pittsburgh students to come to work on their writing. The Center is staffed by experienced consultants who have been trained to help others with their writing. We can help you with conventional or digital projects. The services are free to all University of Pittsburgh affiliates.

Appointment and Schedule
You can schedule appointments online. To use the online appointment system, you must register for an account on your first visit. Appointments are either 25 or 55 minutes long to allow consultants time to make notes about sessions.
Call 412-624-6556 for appointments and Walk-In
You can also call the Writing Center at 412-624-6556 and, as long as you have created your Writing Center account, we can make the appointment for you. Walk-in tutoring is also available. Go to 317B O'Hara Student Center during our hours of operation. If a consultant is available, you'll be seen right away.
International Café
There is a series of workshops that tackle some of the difficulties of writing and using English as a non-native speaker. 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. on Fridays. See the Schedule on this page.
