Belonging at Pitt Libraries

An overview of a library research project about student belonging.

The library is seeking diverse student voices to help us create a more welcoming library experience for everyone! This project is open to all students regardless of whether you are a regular library user, haven't been to the library lately, or have never been at all. We want to hear from you! You'll be asked to take photos and participate in several discussions for this project. You will receive a $100 thank you for your time and effort.

You are invited to participate in a library research project about student belonging.

Students use the Pitt libraries for many reasons: from studying, researching, and finding books or articles; to relaxing, meeting up with friends, and much more. This research project is open to all students regardless of whether they are regular users, haven’t been to the library lately, or have never been at all.

This study is unique because it provides the participants with an opportunity to tell their own stories through photographs. More information about project participation can be found on the Instructions page.
