After performing a search in Google Scholar, the search terms can be set up as an email alert. Click on Create Email Alert at the top of the results.
Many databases in addition to the ones listed on this page offer alert services. Look for any button or link that says "alerts" or "save search" or something similar. Most databases will first require you to sign up for a free account. You can use your Pitt email, but you don't have to. Make sure to pick a password you can remember.
