Jewish Studies Research: Primary Sources

Resources and techniques for finding information about Jewish Studies

Primary Resources

Primary resources are those materials that are original documents or collections of original documents. These could take the form of newspaper articles, reports, memos, proclamations, photographs, maps, or archival records. In the case of this collection of Jewish Studies primary sources, these  include papal edicts, Holocaust survivors' testimonies, reproduced content from the Dead Sea Scrolls, and sketches of plans for the reconstruction of a German synagogue. Facsimiles, or reproductions of these types of documents are also considered to be primary resources.
