This directory provides information on libraries and museums outside of Japan that hold old and rare Japanese materials, including manuscripts, printed books, and single sheet items, such as maps and ukiyoe prints. Each entry consists of the institution's address, name of contact person, collection size, collection description, viewing possibility, reproduction policy, availability of online and print catalogs, and other relevant information.

国立国会図書館デジタルコレクションの概要
The books acquired by the NDL up to 1968, parliamentary and statutory materials, and children's books are available (900,000 books as of August 2013). Among them, 350,000 books whose copyrights have been cleared, are also available on the Internet.

Can be search by keyword and view the detailed descriptions and digitized images of the records held at the Archive including records (120,000 frames of digitized images) of the cabinet meetings concerning the postwar reforms.

アジア歴史資料センター This site provides access to official documents of the Japanese Cabinet, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the Army and Navy focus on Japan's historical relations in Asia.
