A brief guide to library resources useful to Historians and Philosophers of Science

Retrieving Frequently Cited Journals in HPS

Web of Science is a database that provides access to articles in the humanities, social sciences, physical sciences and biological sciences.  It has some useful features.  For any article retrieved it will provide several types of information.  It will tell you how often an article in which you are interested has been cited, and it will also provide a list of those articles that have cited the article that you are interested in from finding it in your search.

Often the research papers that are listed as being cited in the article that you have or which are citing it as a source are available by simply clicking on the link embedded in its title.
