Database Alerts & RSS Feeds: Databases with Alerts

A guide to alert services designed to save you time and make the research process easier.

Setting up Alerts

Many databases in addition to the ones listed on this page offer alert services. Look for any button or link that says "alerts" or "save search" or something similar. Most databases will first require you to sign up for a free account. You can use your Pitt email, but you don't have to. Make sure to pick a password you can remember.

Google Scholar Alerts

After performing a search in Google Scholar, the search terms can be set up as an email alert. Click on Create Email Alert at the top of the results.

CSA Illumina

CSA Illumina databases include, among others, GeoRef, PAIS International, and PsycINFO.
