Hillman Digital Research Wall

Information about the Hillman Library first-floor digital interactive wall that showcases Pitt research and creative work

About the Digital Research Wall

The Digital Research Wall is located on the first floor of Hillman Library (map), overlooking the main atrium staircase. This digital display visualizes the Pitt community’s diverse creative, intellectual, and scholarly output in order to celebrate our community's achievements, engage in conversations, connect across disciplines, and inspire new works.

The wall's customized software presents a rotation of digital exhibits featuring the work of Pitt faculty, students, and staff from across the University. The goals of the wall include:

  • To highlight the breadth of what is created here at Pitt,
  • To make Pitt research accessible and engaging to a wide, non-specialist audience, and
  • To visualize both the research process and the outputs of Pitt research and creative activities.

The wall is managed by a collaborative team of librarians and library staff, who support Pitt community members through the process of proposing and creating new exhibits.

Read more about how to Propose a New Exhibit or browse the list of Current Exhibits on the wall.
