Cloud Storage

OneDrive has been adopted as the universal cloud storage service at Pitt. It is supported by Pitt IT. It is recommended for:

  • Accessing files from your home computer without using a flash drive
  • Sending and sharing large files
  • Collaborating on a project
  • Organizing your files

OneNote

OneNote is a digital notebook that allows you to gather, organize, share, and sync notes and clips. OneNote is accessible on Windows, Apple, and Android devices as well as on the web. 

Evernote

Evernote is a research management tool that allows you to create, organize, and share your research and notes across platforms.  Evernote is accessible via web, deskop, smartphone, and tablet platforms.

Workflowy

Workflowy is a free web-based organization tool that allows you to create simple, flexible, collapsible lists and outlines.

RSS Alerts

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it delivers content to a feed reader as an XML file. You can subscribe to a RSS feed with a feed reader or a news aggregator. 

You'll know a page has an RSS feed if you see this icon.RSS symbol You will often see these icons in the URL bar in a web browser or at the bottom of a web page. They'll also show up in databases and publisher web sites.
