Critically evaluating the information you find on the web is an essential part of the research process. Surfing the Cyber Library will give you techniques to make sure you are on the right track to accessing and evaluating web resources effectively.

Statistical Web Sources for Countries and Cities

Most country and city data comes from offical government websites of the city or country, or from statistical abstracts and handbooks of the individual country. International organizations and databases generally provide only country level data. City Population and itslinnks are often a good starting point for your research but data is limited to population.  A few good web sites for reliable links to statistical sources include the sites on this page.
