Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/download-reference-manager
Create a free account
Use your Pitt email and press Continue [note: DO NOT Sign in via your institution]
Complete the registration screen and click Register
A pop-up should say you now have an Elsevier account
Click on Continue
You can download a desktop version of Mendeley to work offline if necessary.
BE SURE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT FIRST using the steps above!!!
Log into your account
Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/download-reference-manager/windows
Install the proper Mendeley for your type of computer
Go to: https://www.mendeley.com/reference-management/mendeley-cite
Click on Get Mendeley Cite (red Box)
It should take you to the Microsoft AppSource, click on Get it now (blue box)
Enter your Pitt email address and click on Sign in
It will direct you to the Pitt Passport
Enter your Pitt login information
Click on Get it now button (blue button)
