Go to: Mendeley.com

Click on Create a free account (red button below search bar)

Use your Pitt email and press Continue [note: DO NOT Sign in via your institution]

Complete the registration screen and click Register

A pop-up should say you now have an Elsevier account

Click on Continue

Click on your name and you should see a drop-down menu

Click on Download Mendeley

Install the proper Mendeley for your type of computer

In your Mendeley account, click on Library (by your name)

In the Mendeley Cite box, click on Download Mendeley Cite

It should take you to the Microsoft AppSource, click on Get it now (blue box)

Enter your Pitt email address and click on Sign in

It will direct you to the Pitt Passport

Enter your Pitt login information

Click on Get it now button (blue button)
