This library guide is an overview of the Special Collection's exhibit, "William M. Darlington: Selections from a Collector's Life," which features items that were a part of Mr. Darlington's early American history collection.
Thomas Pownall was a British colonial politician and author. In 1776 he wrote a book, A Topographical Description of the Dominions of the United States of America. Later, he began revising the work for a new edition. This record consists of a copy of Pownall’s work with his revisions in the form of margin notes and additional manuscript pages.
