ATMLA Pittsburgh Bicycle Outing
Saturday, October 13, 2018, after the business meeting
We will leave from the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center (the conference hotel), go through Panther Hollow in Schenley Park and take the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh. From there, we head over to the North Shore, see Heinz Field, PNC Park, the Warhol Museum, then bike to Washington’s Landing and have a drink at Redfin Blues.
It’s 14 miles roundtrip. The only significant hill on the route is when we return to the University of Pittsburgh campus (a climb of 130 feet over 3 blocks). We can also park cars at the bottom of that hill. I have a bike rack that will carry 4 bikes.
Bikes are available to rent through Healthy Ride. There are multiple locations in walking distance of the Wyndham.
