Elizabeth Nesbitt Collection @ Pitt: Illustrators Project

This guide identifies some of the 12,000+ resources available in the Nesbitt Collection. Comprised of children's literature and material related to the history of children and their books, collection items date from the 1600's through the present.

The Elizabeth Nesbitt Room Illustrators Project

The pages found here provide an in-depth look at important children's book illustrators from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.  For the project, we have drawn upon images available from the Nesbitt Collection as well as from the very strong collection of secondary reference resources located in the ULS.  Researchers are encouraged to use these pages as a starting point for exploring the work of these illustrators.

The information provided in these pages represents ten years of the combined efforts of students and staff employed in the Information Sciences Library.
