Why Use APA Style?

Because the psychology of music is generally seen as a field of social sciences, it is typical to use the American Psychological Association (APA) style when citing references.

The Publication Manual for the American Psychological Association (6th Edition) is the most up-to-date explanation of APA style. It's widely available at University of Pittsburgh Libraries.
